They are very powerful machines with very advanced configurations and process the requests of client machines. Their role is to make management of network easy and uniform. Computer Servers typically have large storage capacity and because of it’s high large memory (RAM) and fast processors, is able to multi-task or provide information to many computers simultaneously.
Clients are the individual components which are connected in a network such as PC including Apple, Mac or Windows based computers. Mobile clients including Laptops, PDA’s, iPads, plus a whole host of mobile phone devices such as Android, HTC, iPhone & Blackberry offer the business user a wide choice of devices to communicate with. All clients have a basic configuration. A client sends a request/query to server and server responds accordingly. Clients typically don’t share any of its resources and are subordinates to servers with their access rights being defined by servers only.
